Our Programmes

For children with multiple developmental deficits and/or delays, who will benefit from a more rigorous level of contact hours with a trained behavior therapist, on a 1:1 basis.

Behavior Therapy aims to establish fundamental behavioral skills, such as imitation, functional communication, verbal and social behaviour, and helps to increase awareness, joint attention and engagement. These skills lay solid foundation for later learning.

The child who is accomplished in these skills can progress to a small-group environment in our Inclusion-Paving Programme – a unique blend of Montessori Method and ABA principles.

Inclusion-Paving Programme (IPP) is a small-group programme uniquely designed to bridge the skills gap between Early Intervention Programmes and inclusive education, through a combination of Montessori Method and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Children learn in a mixed-age environment, supported by experienced behaviour therapists at a ratio of 1:4 (maximum). The Montessori classroom is structured for absorbent learning to take place as children interact with the materials. Montessori Method is dynamic, yet predictable so children are encouraged to explore within comfortable and safe boundaries.

A thematic curriculum is delivered using quality Montessori materials and grounded in behaviour modification strategies. Language and Numeracy tasks are differentiated, so even as they learn together, each child can demonstrate different abilities and feel competent in what he or she does. A task evaluation rubric is incorporated into every piece of task that children do, so that teachers can focus time on teaching while ensuring progress-tracking is continuous.

We want to help children improve and feel even more accomplished in areas of self-management (self-help), practical living, language and numeracy. Special emphasis is placed on joint attention and social referencing as we believe these are critical skills for successful inclusion in a mainstream pre-school. Above all, we want to instil and maintain a sense of curiosity - the spark to learning - in children.

We take our recommendations seriously. When we tell you your child is ready for inclusion, we want you to feel as confident as we would be. Depending on the level of support rendered by the mainstream school, he or she might require an Integrative Shadow Support to facilitate a smooth transition into the new school environment.

Shadow support can be instrumental to successful inclusion of a child with special needs in a mainstream learning environment.

Working closely with parents, teachers and the learning support team in school, a trained shadow teacher helps address the unique challenges your child might face in school. We emphasize on sharing strategies, regular communication and teamwork in order to ensure timely responses that will benefit your child.

Shadow support is usually a non-permanent arrangement and should come with a fade-off plan.
